Gildshire Looking for Writers

GildshireI was recently contacted by Gildshire and asked to contribute articles to their site. I won’t divulge all of the details (such as pay and other such things) but suffice it to say I’m always excited to get in on the ground level of promising sites and social media networks. So, when the owners of the start-up approached me I was happy to contribute.

What IS Gildshire?

As far as I can tell, Gildshire aims to be a cross between Bubblews and Hubpages with one major difference: there is as yet no obvious way to monetize your submissions (unless you’re being paid for work as a contractor). That being said, however, I would be surprised if we didn’t see some kind of incentive for posting in the coming months.

The look and feel of Gldshire is pretty slick and has clearly taken a cue from Pinterest when it comes to its layout (see above). In addition to its clean and modern look it has an incredibly intuitive interface which makes it easy to post new articles. Unfortunately, it is currently a little too minimalist for an experienced WordPress and Blogspot blogger but I don’t think this is their final iteration of the interface.

The Takeaway

Sorry to say it but it’s too early to tell. The site is obviously in its infancy and the fact that you have to register an account may slow down user engagement but the same could be said of Facebook, Twitter  and every other site out there. I will let you know how it goes as I’m currently committed to writing a series of 8 articles in the next month.
